Footpaths along the river
There is a shady footpath from our place to the centre of town, along the river. Bicycles can be hired. Guided cycle rides on e-bikes are popular.
Ubers are easily available.
It is not safe for women to walk alone at night.
Do not talk on your phone while walking in town, you may soon be without it!
Car guards, or guys pretending to look after your parked car, sometimes suggest ridiculous fees. To tip a person who looked after your car, R5-R10 would be fine.
If you would like to walk to town for an evening meal, ask us for a pepper spray. That may keep you safer.
