Unfortunately, there is very little to do at the planetarium outside of the actual show times. There are some interesting photos and timeline on the walls, but that's it. Sometimes a local school will display its artwork. Closed on Sundays.

Amazing day out for couples, families, solo traveller, you can’t come to Mexico and not visit Chichén Itzá, it’s very hot so bring a hat and plenty of water, highly recommend!

Parque Urbano Kabah is worth a visit if you're in the area. It's a jungle- park with walking/running trails, a kids playground, small museum, crocodile pools, a turtle pond, outdoor exercise equipment, and wandering raccoon-like animals called "coatis".
The trail goes in a loop that you can walk easily (it's quite well maintained) and the coatis are a lot of fun to watch (the groundskeepers feed them fruit so you'll see plenty near the fruit piles).
There are two entrances to this park (with parking lots in both) - on Ave Nichupte and across from Costco on Ave Rodrigo Gomez

It's a must see place, the BEACH is clean and there are places to take a shower as well as bathrooms. Is a nice BEACH where you can click very nice photos. I would refer you to visit this beach in start evening time (when you have more light) as you can have very nice shots here. This beach also has a CANCUN capitals for enhanced photo experience.
