This sweet little café just off Uxbridge Road is painted bright yellow, so you can’t miss it. On a warm day the large, open-plan space is perfect for soaking up the sun and latte sipping. And if it’s not so warm, the friendly staff and cheeriness of it all will surely distract you. The food is unfussy but delicious, with a focus on healthy, Aussie-inspired dishes. Order the granola (tropical if it’s on the menu) and the nutty bread with eggs, avocado and spicy chorizo. Whether you come for brunch, lunch, or just a drink or two, you will leave happy as a clam.

The buzzing pub and dining room is set in a gorgeous Victorian building, and the food has a modern-Italian slant; cicchetti of Parma-ham croquettes with aioli, and paprika-fried squid, followed by venison carpaccio with pickled wild mushrooms, pumpkin risotto, and those brilliant pizzas, topped with 'nduja, burrata and lots more besides. This place has brought a much-needed hit of energy to this pocket of west London.
