Food Scene
Fantastic atmosphere, nice selection of wine, the Chilean sea bass was exceptional, the salmon in parchment was fantastic and I highly recommend the truffle mashed potatoes and the Rutherford Hill Merlot. We dined inside and finished our wine outside. This place is not to be missed if you are in Sandusky.

This place is absolutely awesome. From the cool, old gangster style secret entrance, to the wait staff, to the food, it was phenomenal! I had their signature dish, the "Pasta Mafia." I would drive 4 hours to have this dish again, no question. We finished our meal with a cannoli. Words can not describe how good it was. Overall this is AUTHENTIC Italian food at it's finest paired with an awesome atmosphere.

Came here because of the Trip Advisor reviews, it was really really good! Previous reviews said it was dated and old inside, well...it's been remodeled and it looks great. Food was very good, wait staff was very friendly. We'd definitely go back!

My family and I visited The Brick Oven Bistro while in Sandusky recently. It was absolutely fantastic! We tried the zucchini fries (my favorite!), the "cheese bread," the chicken wings, and a pizza that was half margarita and half pear-Gorgonzola. We were not disappointed by one thing we tried. I would highly recommend this place!! Delicious!

My family and I visited The Brick Oven Bistro while in Sandusky recently. It was absolutely fantastic! We tried the zucchini fries (my favorite!), the "cheese bread," the chicken wings, and a pizza that was half margarita and half pear-Gorgonzola. We were not disappointed by one thing we tried. I would highly recommend this place!! Delicious!
We enjoyed several different craft beers/ciders. I especially enjoyed the Ace pear cider. It was a light and semi sweet beverage (almost like a light wine). We also enjoyed a variety of sushi. You must try the French Kiss Sushi, Dragon Roll and Spider Roll. But what made our experience so special was the young woman who served us at the bar, Jesse. She shared her knowledge of the different craft beers, was friendly and fun to talk to. It was clear that she really enjoys what she does. I hope to visit Small City Taphouse again when visiting Sandusky in the future.

I've enjoyed two delightful meals at The Red Gables in the last four days. My wife surprised me with a special Valentine's celebration dinner this past Saturday night. I was impressed by the delicious steak and personalized service. The Chef came out to talk with us and took the time to explain a great deal about the food and preparation.
I had some business guests in town this evening and decided to go back. It far exceeded my expectations. The waitress and Chef catered to our every need and that was no easy task. I decided to go with another steak (the NY Strip really rocks) but we shared a shrimp pasta dish that was also amazing. You really can't go wrong. My mouth keeps watering when I hear about the 1+ pound pork chop, I think I'll have to try that next time.
If your lucky enough to be there when they have time to share some local history be sure to ask about Al Capone and the bootleggers activities that used to occur in and around the establishment. I can't wait to go back. It far exceeds any other steak houses you'll find around the Sandusky area.

A wonderful place to purchase fresh Lake Erie perch and walleye, fresh or cooked. Melts in your mouth! Prices are reasonable,too. Also my go-to when I have a craving for frog legs.

Cameo Pizza has the best pizza around. The servers and bartenders are very friendly. Great outside patio with it's own bar. Game room upstairs which you can rent out for parties.

Best Mexican Restaurant in Town!
El Grande Patron serves standard tex-mex food for this area, but it is the best one! I always get tacos al pastor and it has always been delicous! Very nice staff and good drinks!!!

We were Literally standing in front of this place and couldn't find it. Presentation is unparalleled. I don't know about the food but everything else is awesome. Not a place for large groups. Excellent choice for a unique date.
