Everyone I know who has gone to Handline has raved about it. Quirky in the most wonderful Sebastopol way. Fresh, creative food, locally sourced. Located on the south edge of town. Indoor seating plus a large outdoor patio that is fantastic on warm days/evenings.

My favorite Mexican restaurant. Award winning. Really run by Martha. Indoor seating and outdoor patio. Delicious standard dishes plus some that are more creative. Warm bean dip comes with your chips while you're waiting for you order--it's a really nice touch.

If you love ice cream--or think it is a food group unto itself--run right now to Screamin' Mimi's. They make all their own award-winning ice cream. I bet there they serve at least one or two flavors you've never heard of or never thought possible. Plus LOTS of other more sensible flavors. My favorite thing to do is to go in and get a triple-scoop cone. (This is not the ice cream place in the Barlow; this one is a couple blocks from there in downtown.) A Sebastopol landmark--for good reason!

Lovely park. And there is a back section, down the hill at the back of the park, that has dirt trail looping past a plethera of blackberry bushing (July/August) and through dry wetlands (in the rainy season, it may be to muddy or even flooded to pass).
