Why did we wait so long to go there? Anything you order will be melt in your mouth great. You should hope they have some of their key lime pie. Guard it well until it’s gone. No, seriously.

Their pizzas are very good, prices are reasonable, it’s ten minutes away, close to Lookout Mountain activities, across the street from the Incline Railway, (name another pizza place that can say that), and a great stop on the way back from downtown. The staff are friendly and professional because Tyler is a good person to work for. I know because I worked with him over 30 years ago when we were both just scrappy kids.

Everything is so good you’ll want to learn how to write home again. It’s one of the cutest places inside, worth visiting just for that. They smoke the meat and make their own varieties of sauces. Their bbq stuffed potatoes are big and amazing. Worth every single calorie. Dang.

This. This...is how you do a coffee shop. Put it inside a local icon, something like say, the Chattanooga Choo Choo rotunda. Make amazing coffee, food, and deserts. Display tempting pastries at the register. Stir it up, enjoy, repeat. I can explain.

It may just be the best coffee shop in town and it’s in the beautiful Bluff View arts district. The area is very walkable and you can catch amazing views of downtown and the Tennessee river. You can also stroll down 1st Street between beautiful apartment buildings and sculptures or across Walnut Street bridge, the longest pedestrian bridge in the country, high over the Tennessee River. You’ll feel more confident just by having been there.

Spicy, rustic, authentic German food and a good variety of their own German micro brews. Friendly staff that can describe their brew and suggest pairing with certain foods if you ask, but you really can’t go wrong. As good as everything I had in Germany, but closer and no passport, (30 minutes).

Parks & Nature

It’s beautiful, great views into the valleys, fun hiking (be ready for stairs though), and there are waterfalls. You can picnic up there and they have a small visitor’s center and garden. You can spend a couple hours or all day up there and it’s 20 minutes from here, only two turns. Well worth the short drive. You can have a picnic at the bottom of the falls or eat at the Mountain Top Cafe near there.
