Its a treasure in our backyard! You can walk to the museum, drive, or in the summer hitch a ride on the free jump on/off trolley that picks up in front of the Hoxie House. Stroll (or use handy golf cart service) among 100 acres of incredible gardens studded with various museums (summer of 2018 features the Indy 500 cars). I love bringing a picnic and letting the kids run wild in the Hidden Hollow (an award winning 2 acre outdoor discovery play area). Top off the day with a ride on the antique horse carousel!

I highly suggest you go to the dexter grist mill on Shawme pond. They make fresh cornmeal and sell them on the spot.

We love to hike Talbots Point. This reserve is maintained by the Thornton Burgess Society. For a chance of seeing the great horned owls high in the trees go at dusk! Easy enough for small children or long enough for a good cardio workout.
