Food Scene

It's a beautiful place from the inside and outside. They have a menu full of organic and local food which we can definitely recommend! Ps: take a look at the bar, it is made to honour the textile industry that used be quite important for the city of St. Gallen.

If you don't have a big budget but you still like to eat somewhere special we can definitely recommend Habibi! It is around the corner, has the best Arabic menu and the man welcoming you is making this small restaurant complete.

Tibet corner is a tiny restaurant in the center of St. Gallen. It has the most delicious Tibetan food. If you close your eyes for a short moment you will feel as if you were in Tibet. Enjoy!

Shopping

If you are a big fan of shopping at charity shops, we can definetely recommend this one! It has almost everything you need; clothes, books, furniture, tableware and a lot more. The price-quality ratio is perfect. But the thing we like most is that by buying here you support something bigger!

Every Friday (from april to november) there is a wonderful farmers market in the city center on the market place. Here you can find seasonal and fresh veggies and fruit but also bread, cheese, marmalade and much more! But be early, it's from 7.30 to 13 o'clock.

Entertainment & Activities

If you want a day to relax or a day with more action Säntispark is the place to be in this area. You can go to the sauna village or you can choose to try every water chute they have. We can definetely recommend the chute that goes straight down, but... you need to have enough courage

This "rope park" on the outside of St. Gallen is a true adventure! You will get into a harness and put on a helmet and up you go into the trees. There are many different routes varying from easy to difficult. So there's something for everyone. Don't worry, if you are afraid of heights you can easily guide your family and friends while enjoying nature or... play a game of tennis on the opposite of the street.

Sightseeing

These three little lakes on the top of St. Gallen are definitely worth visiting. Especially on a warm sunny day, you can take a swim (for free!) in one the lakes and enjoy the panoramic views. You can see the lake of Konstanz, the whole city and if (big tip...) you walk a little bit higher and you will see the pre-alps when it's a cloud free day.

This is THE place to visit when you're in St. Gallen. If you haven't seen the abbey, you haven't seen our city. It is that what put's St. Gallen on the map. If you like it or not, it is definitely impressive and somehow a place of serenity.

If you want to escape the city for a little bit, walk up towards the three little lakes and then keep going left and left and left. You'll end up at a small abbey where you can walk around calmly, sit down on a bench and relax. Perhaps it's even open for visitors, if it is... let us know!
