Fantastic Italian restaurant within 5 mins walking distance turning left out of the estate. A-la-carte and specials board every night. Tony is the owner and chef, half-Italian and Australian. Everything is fresh! 4.5 stars from Tripadvisor.

Families beware there is a bar attached in the front of the establishment, so best to walk into the restaurant via the car park and head right to the back area.

The most exquisite Italian restaurant in Asia for me. Based in Phuket Town near Robinsons it's about a 30 min drive from the house. Extremely good food and wonderful attention to detail from Gianni and his wife. It's cash only and not cheap by Thai standards, but you get more than you pay for. In August they are closed some days for the holidays, so best to call and check.

Sightseeing
Outstanding view over the 4 bays of Kata Noi, Kata, Karon and even as far as Patong. Drive a bit further towards Kata/Karon and there are 2 Sunset Bars to enjoy a drink or a bite at lunchtime or even better watch the sun go down into the Andaman Sea as the sky turns many colours from blue thorough orange to red.

Relatively quiet beach for Phuket with white sand and less hassle. Beautiful view out over yachts with the Meridian Yacht club to the right. There are a few eateries set amongst the treas serving mostly local food.
If you have young children go to the opposite end of the beach (you can park there) where the lake joins the sea. There there is an estuary which is safe for your young ones to play in the water when the tide is moving. Watch out though as there can still be a bit of a current in the bend to add some fun.

Get fit whilst you stay. Learn Muay Thai at the boxing ring. Opens every day apart from Sunday for open lessons from 4-6pm and private sessions on Sunday. All ages welcome - my kids stared from the age of 10 but we have seen 8 yr olds having fun there.

About 20 mins drive and you are in a modern shopping mall with a large supermarket, branded clothes and products shops a Cinema and Starbucks. Plenty of places to eat and shop all day. It's not very local. However, if you spend more than THB 2,000 remember to ask for a VAT refund form so you can claim back money at the airport when you leave.

We have been renting from these guys for almost 20 years. They rented cars to Leonardo DiCaprio when he was filming The Beach. Mention Khun Jeremy from Singapore and you may get a discount.
