Take an artist’s tour of Houston's graffiti landmarks

Take an immersive look into Houston’s vibrant graffiti and street art scene on a two-hour walk with me, GONZO247, a renowned graffiti artist who has been shaping the city’s art landscape for more than 35 years. • Meet in Luckie's Pocket the location of my studio and the historic Charles W. Luckie Schoolhouse. I’ll share a little about my background and walk you around the Houston Wall of Fame and the future site of the Houston Graffiti and Street Art Museum (GASAM). • Next, wander over to Graffiti Park, where all the walls are covered in murals. I’ll point out works by key artists—like The One Lee, the late DECKWGF, Sylvia Blanco, Nicky Davis, and me!—and discuss the ever-changing nature of street art. • Once we return to my studio, you’ll get a chance to sign the Wall of Fame and take photos. You’ll leave with an insider perspective on street art in Houston, and the opportunity to purchase original GONZO247 artwork or merchandise.

Paint Texas wildflowers with a watercolor artist

Settle into Nomadic Beerworks, one of my favorite South Austin breweries, for a laid-back and creative painting session. In this two-hour experience, you’ll paint Texas’ vibrant wildflowers and plants while learning fundamental watercolor techniques—all in a relaxed atmosphere where you can sip on craft brews, coffee, or other refreshments from the bar. • Explore watercolor techniques through guided exercises. We’ll practice brushwork, color mixing, and layering to create depth and texture using materials I’ll provide. • Sketch and paint Texas wildflowers, focusing on their distinct shapes and colors. I’ll demonstrate techniques for bringing bluebonnets, prickly pears, and other native plants to life on paper. • Add texture and refine details as you personalize your painting. We’ll discuss composition, balance, and finishing touches to make each piece unique. We’ll wrap up by sharing our work and reflecting on the process. This class is more than just a painting lesson—it's an opportunity to slow down, connect with nature, and express your artistic vision, all while enjoying the welcoming energy of a South Austin brewery. Join an artist and gallery owner for a street art experience, where you’ll learn about the history and cultural significance of graffiti and mural art before creating a work of your own. • I’ll lead you on a guided tour of East Austin’s iconic spray tags and murals, exploring the diverse art styles around you. • Once we return to the gallery, you’ll have a chance to create your own spray art! You’ll begin by designing a unique graffiti tag on paper. I’ll offer advice on composition, lettering, and style. • You’ll transfer your tag onto a canvas using spray paint and other graffiti tools, and I’ll give you tips to help you develop your technique. After we show each other what we’ve created and share our inspirations, you’ll take home your artwork, ready to display.

Ring make-and-take with local artist

We'll get comfortable in our studio barn/workshop area, where you'll grab a glass of homemade wine from our organic orchard, wildcrafted herbal tea, and/or fruit-infused spring water from our bar before we get started. Once everyone is settled with a beverage, I'll do a quick demonstration to show you the techniques and procedures for making several different styles of rings. Then you'll get busy working hands-on with different tools and materials to create your own custom, unique ring exactly to your liking. I can provide as much support as necessary to help you to feel comfortable with the process and to create your desired outcome. We'll seal/finish your ring if necessary and you'll take it home with you at the end of the session. For those who are interested, you will also have an opportunity to tour our urban homestead and be immersed in the many endeavors we have going. Other things to note: -We have free-range chickens and 2 outdoor farm cats. All are friendly. :) -If you aren't seeing the date or time you'd like available on the calendar, feel free to send me a message and we'll try to work something out if possible! -In order to maintain the very intimate nature of this experience and the value for all guests, we typically do not allow non-participating onlookers. Handcraft a Unique Ring with Traditional Silversmithing

In this beginner Silversmithing class, you will pick out your own stone and create the setting and ring band. We'll get familiar with the torch, jeweler's saw, flex shaft drill, anvil & bench pin, together. We'll solder the bezel, cut out the setting and file it flat. Then we create your ring shank according to your own size and solder them together. We'll finish your ring by setting the stone and polishing the piece. All finished work is in sterling silver and you get to go home with a brand new ring! Patience is required. No experience necessary. *Other things to note* Please dress for the occasion! We'll be sawing metal and using messy materials. Don't wear anything dangly and please have closed toe shoes on. This activity is hands on and messy! Also to note: long fingernails could make this a little harder, but it is doable!

I'll be taking you around one of Dallas neighborhoods while capturing every moment on camera. If you didn't take photos during a trip did it really happen? We would be at Bishop Arts one of our most Bohemian neighborhoods filled with lots of beautiful coffee shops, restaurants and stores. What you'll get: 1) A tour of one of Dallas neighborhoods. 2) Beautiful photo spots for you to create great memories you'll never forget ever! With over 60 digital photos Other things to note We will be around restaurants, coffee shops and dessert spots so you'll probably be snacking on the way! Alcohol ink painting in my art studio

I will start out by giving you a demo of alcohol inks in my New Braunfels studio. I will explain how to use the inks and will provide a step by step process. No experience necessary at all. This is a fun and relaxing painting process. You will go home with two amazing art pieces. The colors are vibrant and beautiful! We will practice using canned air to create flowers and other designs. I will show you how to create a landscape. You can also create whatever you like and I will guide you and give you tips. Classes are $65 each (1-4), however groups of 5 are $55 per person. Let me know if you would like to have a group of 5. I am one of the alcohol ink pioneers in teaching here in Texas!

Deep Creative Writing Collaboration

If you’re working on a screenplay, novel, picture book, children’s book, comic book, select anthologies or poetry - this session is for you. We’ll dissect your work so that it can shine the best it can. We'll discuss all things publishing, editing or anything you’re having trouble bringing to life. I'll offer tips on self-publishing, traditional-publishing and other avenues that’ll support your work. If you're already working with an editor, that's fine, you still might have questions. So whatever you bring to the collaboration I’ll be glad to look it over cuz the more material you have - the better. No topic is offensive so don't worry about upsetting me if you choose to unveil sensitive material no one else knows about. Everything stays confidential. The only subjects I don’t discuss are romance and politics. If you’re a minor- a parent must be present during the entirety of our public session.

Making Soap in Wimberley

You will go home with 6 to 8 bars of natural soap and the knowledge to create your own recipes and make soap at home. We'll use olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, shea butter and essential oils to make soap that’s good for your skin. We'll be making soap using the hot process method, using crock-pots. I’ll provide all the equipment, ingredients and a selection of essential oils, textures, colors and additives. You will start with a basic recipe and then you’ll customize it as you like. You will do it ALL with some guidance

San Antonio Street Art Tour

We are going to explore St. Mary's street murals! San Antonio is a city filled with street arts, diversity of cultures and good vibes. St. Mary's street draws plenty of foot traffic to its vibrant stretch of hip bars, trendy clubs and San Antonio-original eateries. And of course, it has many amazing murals that are worth to visit. We will walk and make stops at each mural and take awesome photos of you with an instant Polaroid camera so you will have nice photos in San Antonio for your instagram feeds and to take home as a souvenir. I will provide you with 5 instant photos total to take with you and within 24 hours after the experience I will send you other digital photos taken with the camera. You’ll complete a short personal style intake survey to help me get to know your style needs and plan a custom experience for you. We will visit 3-4 shops depending on your needs. I will introduce you to the emerging fashion scene in Austin, including the brands, designers, and curators who are transforming fashion for good through ethical and sustainable practices.
