The Malia Palace found is the third largest palace of Minoan Crete. It occupies 7500 square meters near Hersonissos in Northern Crete. It was first built around 1900 BC, a time of feverish development for the entire island population. It was destroyed by unknown reasons around 1650 before it was immediately rebuilt. It a big must for everyone. Tip: if you visit it during the summer months, make sure you visit either very early say 9am or make sure you have a bottle of water to stay hydrated, since it can get very hot.
