If you feel like a change of cuisine and language - pop on over to Italia!! Simple train ride from Nice. Definitely worth a visit to shop and eat pasta in a local trattoria. San Remo is wonderful! I once saw a bride in a leopard print gown. FABULOUS!

City with great shopping and markets. Visit the museum of Nobel. He wrote his testament there and loved San Remo.

If your tempted to visit Italy, San Remo is not a bad destination. The food is incredible on the Italian side. The drive is fantastic. Have pizza and a coffee or take in a market and wind your way home.

Market on TUESDAYS/SATURDAYS. Lovely town, approximately 1hrs drive. If you go to the market it is worth stopping on your way home, just as you leave the motorway, at the Vista Palace for a drink with an amazing view of Monaco.
