A miniture Rodeo Drive that some consider the 3rd or 4th best shopping area in the US. Like Madison and Fifth Avenues in NYC. Great restaurants and diamonds galore!

A variety of shops, clothing stores, jewelry stores, art galleries, restaurant and coffee shops, fun to just stroll along the walk. Check out the Art sculptures displaced along the center divider of the road... they are for sale.

“Outdoor mall with restaurants, movie theater and some shopping. There's a Cheesecake Factory, a Yard House, and PF Chang's to name a few. Located in Rancho Mirage, about a 10 minute drive. ”

“ Very quick and easy hike on the right-hand side of the trail. Once you get to the top you will see a beautiful view of the entire valley. ”

Zoo
“www.livingdesert.org/ One of our favorite places! Great for ANY group or individual to see local wild desert animals, many in their natural environment. Even if you're not a big "zoo person", we think you'll love it. Go when they open during warmer months and you only need a few hours to get through the whole park before it gets too hot. Lots of leisurely walking. There is a shuttle for a fee. For food, they have picnic areas if you wish to pack your own lunch. While they have various eateries, they get pretty busy at lunchtime. Admission is $15-25 per person Hours are 8am-5pm, Oct. 1 – May 31 and 7am-1:30pm June 1 – Sept. 30”

Point of Interest
“Sweeping views of the Coachella Valley can be found for free with a short drive up Highway 74 to Vista Point. Here, at the edge of the San Bernardino National Forest, you’ll discover a new perspective on the Coachella Valley. Part way up the mountain is this large viewpoint with plenty of parking. Definitely plan on a stop here to take in the sights and snap a few photos. As you continue up the mountain, the road begins to unwind itself and you’ll start to notice a change in vegetation. Short gangly pinyon pine trees begin to emerge from out of the rocks, so as the highway unfurls through the small towns of Pinyon Pines and Pinyon Crest, you’ll see how these places got their names. Turn your trip to Vista Point into a scenic drive along Highway 74, also known as the Palms to Pines Highway. As you climb this winding mountain road, you’ll enjoy desert- and forest-inspired sights before reaching the charming mountain town of Idyllwild.”
