Take a water taxi from Cowes up river to the Folly Inn. Riverside drinking and dining. Ordinary pub food but plenty of choice and a great setting. Child-friendly so a good choice for families.

Restaurant, pub and great for breakfast. Lovely ambience, live music most weekends, right by The Medina, allow dogs, 15 minutes walk along the river

Riverside pub and restaurant that's an institution among yachties. Huge outdoor area facing River Medina. Food okay, dancing on tables not compulsory. Get to it by Folly water taxi for about £5 a head
