Palasyo-de-la-Almudayna — one of the most ancient palaces in Spain. In the period of government of Moors the palace was the residence of Mauritian viziers, and since 1230 became the royal residence. Now here military services and the National Museum are located. In the yard there is a Gothic chapel of Kapilla-de-Santa Ana. The royal palace is still kept for use by successors of the Spanish royal line, a half of the palace is a private property of royal family, the army is placed for protection of royal housing here. The structure has a rectangle appearance with high towers on each side. One of these towers is called "the Tower Angela" — at top the sculpture of Angel Gabriel who is one of patrons of the city is established. And here one more — "The Tower of the Heads" — draws attention with the historical value — in the 15th century on walls of a tower became dejected the died criminals for a public inspection.

The Palace of La Almudaina was built as an Arabian Fort, it becomes a fortified palace and royal residence in the early 14 th century. It contains very interesting vestiges of its past splendor.
