Beside the Marquet, Cerveriz Bar, one of the best "tortilla española" (spanish omelette). Also the Mercado is very nice, maybe too touristic and crowded, best if you go at lunch time.

This is a very old market, refurbished some years ago. Nowit offers a wide range of really good tapas, wine and vermut. My favorite place, "La hora del Vermut", has the best typical spanish drinks.

The best place for Tapas in Madrid. Lots of different tapas bar under one roof. Just metres away from the Plaza Mayor.

Está cerca de mi casa y tiene el Mercado de San Miguel donde se pueden tomar tapas en un ambiente muy especial.
