Big Lagoon and Stone Lagoon are great places to visit for beach walks, kayaking or canoeing. In these areas it is possible to see herds of Roosevelt Elks.

The county park is my favorite to be close to pounding waves. A locals' place. About 10 miles north of the cottage. Be careful on the left turn to access it because the freeway there suddenly turns into a two lane road. In heavy traffic, bypass the left turn and make a u.
