“Amazingly, this stall is run by a young couple who took over the stall 10 years ago from the previous owner who ran it for 15 years. They had no prior experience making Ban Mian and the previous owner did not even pass them the recipe! Today, they are probably the most popular Ban Mian eatery. Great bowl of Ban Mian, but be prepared to wait for at least 30-45mins during peak periods”

All the skills in the kitchen (both steaming and wok hand dishes) was taught to younger son Desmond, while elder sibling Steven specialised in and handled only the steamed dishes (one of the most difficult sections to master in a Chinese kitchen), so that no one can outdo each other and mess the flow of harmony in the kitchen.”
