If you are into southern architecture this is the place in which you will appreciate the old style Texan houses, partly renovated and partly just kept as they are. The heights offers today one of the most modern residential areas, best restaurants, bars and pubs. Tip: try the organic coffee shops…

The Heights is a fun and funky little neighborhood full of history. Located just 4 miles from downtown it's considered home to several local artists. The Heights is also home to great local events including First Saturday Art Market, White Linen Night, and Lights in the Heights.

“All along Washington Ave there are many popular bars and restaurants, making it the most sought-after destination for locals and visitors alike. Bar-hopping can be done both on foot or by bike, making it unnecessary to drive in the area. ”

“Student centric but a local favorite. Pubs, food, clothing and other retail stores. Or get a mani pedi or a massage. It’s all there! ”

“River Oaks is one of (if not the) oldest neighborhood(s) in Houston. It's an exclusive area which you'll see by the size of the homes. Drive through and admire the vastness of it all. If you're here during Christmas, it's one of the best viewing areas for Christmas lights.”

“Montrose is an offbeat neighborhood known for its gay bars, vintage stores and eclectic mix of eateries, which range from quaint cafes to Mexican cantinas and Mediterranean bistros. It’s also home to hip indie art galleries and the octagonal Rothko Chapel, featuring huge abstract murals by its namesake artist. Home of all the major Museums. With its downtown skyline views, Eleanor Tinsley Park is a popular spot for picnics”
