Courbet was inspired by the Source and Valley of La Loue and many of his paintings are from the area around our farm. Courbet also painted the world famous and very controversial painting 'L'Origine du Monde'

This is the museum in Ornans dedicated to Courbet who was born in Ornans and his work largely inspired by the beauty of the Loue Valley. Courbet is the painter of the very controversial (in its time) painting called "L'orgine du Monde" which can be seen at Musee d'Orsay in Paris toghether with many of his other works.
