Lots of history to encounter at this gem of a place for early California history buffs. One of the few covered bridges in California, can be found here as well as numerous buildings from different time periods in Yosemite National Park's unique history.

The scenery of Yosemite is world-renowned. Each year, millions of people are drawn to its thundering waterfalls, towering giant sequoias, unique geologic features, and magnifi cent high country. Many visitors are less aware of the stories of individuals that have both changed and been changed by Yosemite. At the Pioneer Yosemite History Center, the National Park Service commemorates the efforts of people, the events they experienced, and the issues they faced during the establishment of this great park.
