The Knob is a popular site for scenic hikes, walking dogs, and bringing visitors. Situated on a bay, it’s an easy trail walk through forest and beach which ends on a little point called a knob. There is limited free parking near the entrance

BEAUTIFUL place to hike and view the scenic beach area. Short, easy hike to a viewing area that can be very windy depending on the day. Great place to stop if you're in the area, parking can be a bit tricky if it's busy. I've only been in the off season so not sure what it's like in the summer.

This is a truly delightful (and relatively easy) short hike, offering the unique sensation of walking in the woods while breathing salt air and capturing stunning ocean views. Park at Carey's Landing, or ride a bike from the Shining Sea Bike Path.
