Bourbon Class & Tasting
Upon arriving, you'll have an entire bourbon tasting room of Trouble Bar to yourself and the other experience guests. You'll taste between 4 - 6 bourbons during your tasting. Nicole will show you different styles and proof expressions of bourbon from a variety of distilleries. If you have a specific interest, Nicole can delve into with you and possibly pull some special bourbons for you to taste. While you go through the tasting, Nicole will help you understand why your palate is responding the way it is to different whiskeys. Instead of only trying products from only one distillery, Nicole will expose you to many distilleries in one spot! You'll end the class with the chance to open tabs and buy bourbons from the extensive collection of Trouble Bar. Nicole will be available for questions and more bourbon knowledge as long as you'd like to stay! Other things to note: Once the class ends, you'll be able to purchase spirits directly from the bar so you can continue your education and enjoy Trouble Bar's extensive collection. Nicole can even use what you learned about your palate to recommend new and unknown bourbons specifically for you.
Cocktail Making & Bourbon Tasting
Upon arriving, your group will have an entire whiskey tasting room & bourbon bar to yourselves! You'll sit down & enjoy the most iconic bourbon cocktail in Louisville, the Old Fashioned. While you sip, I'll demonstrate how to make Trouble Bar's classic Old Fashioned. Then, you'll get to jump behind the bar to pick your own bitters & syrup combination to create your very own signature Old Fashioned. This is a fantastic start to your bourbon country adventures, or team building if you're in town for work! After our Old Fashioned bootcamp, you'll enjoy a 3 - 5 part tasting of bourbon. You'll taste whatever we love and think your group will love, too. We serve every bourbon with a healthy dose of history, background & information, while also providing lots of water and ice. We find that so many new bourbon drinkers, or seasoned drinkers, can find new tasting notes or get more out of a bourbon that's had an ice cube or a splash of ice! Other things to note: Food: Feel free to bring snacks! We do not serve food, but you can order in or BYOF. Sober: Sober drinkers can be accommodated for cocktail making.
