Our self-contained, well equipped Annexe is converted from cattle sheds & a horse engine room. It's light & spacious and adjoins the timber framed barn where we live. We began the conversion work in 1995. The property sits in 5.5 acres of garden, surrounded by farmland. We are 5 miles north of the historic town of Framlingham & 16 miles from Suffolk's Heritage Coast. It's a peaceful, tranquil, relaxing, quiet getaway. Suit bird watchers, walkers, cyclists, writers, artists, nature lovers .

Perfect for exploring Suffolk, birdwatching, walking, cycling or simply enjoying the peace & quiet. Sleeps 4 ideally (5 is a squeeze!). Bed 1 is a king size double. Bed 2 is a king size double that can be 2 singles on request. Bed 3 is a single. Several great food & drink pubs 5-10 mins away.

Situated deep in the Suffolk countryside, The Carter's Loft is a beautifully presented studio bursting with charm. The popular local pub (White Horse) offers good food and local beer. We are just 10 mins drive from Eye, 20 mins from Framingham and 40 mins from the seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold.

Upper Alde Barn is a luxury barn conversion within the grounds of Dernford Hall, set in 32 acres of Private Nature Reserve this is a truly peaceful getaway with landscaped private river walks.
