The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

Only 15 mins from Central New Plymouth and 5 mins to the airport, come, relax and enjoy.

Our Cottage is cosy, newly refurbished and fully equipped and detailed. With Mangati Walkway just around the corner, a bike ride takes 30 minutes to Fitzroy Beach/Te Rewa Rewa bridge. Well positioned for access to tourist attractions: beaches, city and mountain. From the moment you enter the driveway you can feel yourself destressing. Herbs & Vegetables in raised bed garden behind cottage- help yourself. We grow lots of our own food & love to share when available.

The Black Yurt

MAX OCCUPANCY 2 Adults & 2 Children under 12 The Black Yurt is situated within Oakura. The surf beach, a number of cafes/restaurants, a pharmacy and a convenience store are within walking distance. Several hiking trails can be found nearby. Accessible via a private staircase, this yurt offers you a comfortable king-size bed, lounge area and kitchenette. The bath and shower are outdoors. A separate small building contains the toilet.
