FNQ Blooms Tropical Flower Farm Lodge

The Tropical Flower Lodge sits at the foothills of Mt Bartle Frere, surrounded by lush rainforest and vibrant tropical gardens. Our property is also a working flower farm, home to a wide variety of Heliconias and Gingers. The lodge is completely self‑sustaining. Fresh spring water flows though the property a gravity‑fed system, our on‑site waterfall generates clean hydroelectric power. Guests often tell us it feels like staying in a hidden, eco‑friendly sanctuary where nature does all the work.

You’ll be comfortable in our elegantly appointed, resort style newly built accommodation featuring all new appliances, luxury mattress and linen. Enjoy a steak or Barramundi on the outdoor weber BBQ. Your studio accommodation is fully air-conditioned, fully insect screened with blockout blinds and curtains. Outdoor living features a 20sqm spacious deck with table and seating or unwind with a glass of champagne in the 4 person refreshing cool water bubbly spa and spot the Ulysses butterfly.

Modern Beach Shack | Escape for Two W/ Pool

Located in a sleepy little beach town that time forgot. Where ancient palms shade your path and prehistoric creatures still roam the land. The slow monday sits on the edge of protected forest (a cassowary corridor) just a stroll from the beach. A modern take on the classic Australian beach shack, the house is designed for the Queensland tropics. There are two pavilions, one for living and the other for sleeping, all with large glass sliding doors that open up to let the environment in.

Birdwing Hut in the Rainforest

This simple hut nestled into the rainforest is a birdwatcher's paradise! The property is entirely off-grid and is situated in a wildlife hotspot, with 100 acres of wet tropics rainforest connected to the World Heritage listed Maalan National Park. An ideal base for nature lovers to explore the Atherton Tableland, the bird list includes over 200 species, including Victoria's Riflebird, Blue-faced Parrot finch. Mammals include Tree kangaroos and Herbert River and Green Ringtail Possums.

Usnea, A Nature, Art and Accommodation Space

Usnea, our Nature, Art and Accommodation Space, is situated on the Evelyn Tablelands, Tropical North Qld. Here a discrete self-contained one bedroom cottage in upland rainforest is surrounded by natural and established gardens, and at 1,160m provides a cool summer and cosy winter retreat. Uniquely the cottage integrates art within and outside. Contemplation, inspiration, privacy and comfort, are all to be experienced, along with exploring our forest and local environmental features.

The Highlands House ~ Avodah Estate

In the heart of Herberton's historic highlands and situated on 160 acres of rolling pasture and eucalypt forest you'll find the "The Highlands House." This thoughtfully restored 1980s farmhouse transports you to the quieter analogue days of the past, but all within 10 minutes of Herberton township, and only 25 minutes from Atherton. Abundant wildlife feature in your stay and the property is an ideal base to visit our many historic and natural tourist attractions on the tablelands.

The Lake House

Wake to sunrise over the lake in this secluded tropical retreat. Beautifully designed modern Balinese-inspired house with marble tiled flooring throughout, carved wooden doors and volcanic rock walls, a unique tropical oasis in a truly unique setting. Lake views from every room of the house, effortless indoor-outdoor flow, lush tropical gardens brimming with wildlife. Close to the beach and the town centre, restaurants, shops etc. We can arrange a third (trundle) bed on request.

Soulshine - Cottage for Couples.

Enjoy the solitude of this totally private self-contained apartment suited for singles and couples. A 5-minute rainforest walk to the centre of the village and 200 metres from the local golf course. The apartment is surrounded by beautiful gardens and has everything you should need for a very comfortable stay with dedicated under cover parking and access so you won't be getting wet if it is raining. Enjoy watching the butterflies and birds in the garden from the verandah. .

Mena Creek Flower House, "The Birdsnest"

Set on 40 Private acres, "The Birdsnest" is our modern air-cond smaller cabin. It is open plan living/bedroom with q/size bed and sofa that converts to double bed for extra guests. Seperate bathroom and undercover large deck with stunning rural views. Private river safe swimming hole. Free wifi, flat screen TV. We do have 2 other cabins on the property to accommodate larger families or groups. 7mins from Paronella Park. Due to Covid 19 we are no longer providing breakfast.

The Bartle Frere.

Host living quarters are under the same roof and separate from Airbnb accommodations. Set on a hectare fruit tree orchard up in the hills of Germantown it offers fantastic views of the valley with Mount Bartle Frere in the background. Its peacful and quiet yet a short drive to a major town. Canecutter way Scenic Drive runs past the property. Local attractions: Paronella Park, Mena Creek Hotel, Murdering Point tropical fruit winery, Aussie Farm Entertainment and more.

The Point

Kick back and relax in our calm and stylish retreat, nestled amongst the rainforest with views to the ocean. Our much loved family cottage has been newly renovated with modern amenities. Please enjoy our homage to the history of beach-style hideaway, reminiscent of the 1950's in tropical Far North Queensland. We are close to many well known National Parks rainforest walks and Etty Bay which is a Qld Surf Life Saving patrolled beach with a stinger enclosure.
