The rammed earth cottage is over 100 years old. Thyme Lane is a rural setting in an historic gold mining area. It's near the Lake Dunstan cycle trail, the Central Otago Rail Trail & Lake Roxburgh Trail. Five minutes to Alexandra or Clyde. One hour’s drive to Queenstown. Enjoy the outdoor space, nearby vineyards and orchards, and local cafes. You'll have your own cottage with bedroom (kingsize bed), ensuite bathroom, and living room with kitchenette (microwave, single hotplate, sink). Weber BBQ.

On offer is the classic quintessential kiwi holiday cottage. Ideal for a couple through to 6 guests with 7 beds (two top bunks have sleeping bags only). Not high end but an extremely functional cosy cottage type property where you could cook a roast or have an outdoor BBQ! Most beds near new. Plenty of hot water via a shower with great pressure. Air-conditioned and MYSKY TV. Room for the boat or caravan in the rear yard or a game of holiday cricket. Rate includes cleaning fee. Great value here.

Central Otago is famous for wineries, orchards and magnificent scenery. Grab a bottle of wine and picnic by the river or take advantage of the many day/multi day bike trails. It should be noted that we do not have a full kitchen, but provide a kitchenette with a microwave, sink and small fridge for your convenience

After cycling & exploring this wonderful region, take a swim in the shallows of the Clutha River (access at the bottom of our site) or relax in the sun on your own balcony. Elevated above the Manuherikia river with dramatic schist rock faces and river views, our spacious,and warm ground floor apartment is nestled next to the Central Otago Rail Trail, Matangi Station Mountain Bike Park, and walking tracks. Cafes and restaurants are a few minutes walk along the scenic river track passing the historic shaky bridge. The river track is accessed from our property. It is a 30min drive to Highlands Motorsport Park, and one hour to both Queenstown and Wanaka.
