Relaxing private bush retreat Cottage Rustigue

Unwind and relax in this little home away from home. Rustigue is a play of words: ‘rustig’ is Dutch for tranquil; the style of the cottage is ‘rustic’ with a combination of all things to love: old, new, done up. The cottage is surrounded by rimu trees, native bush and ferns. It is well away from the main house and has its own driveway, so you have total privacy. The Store | Matakana

Sept 25 | The store has just had some upgrades to make your stay more comfortable while still in keeping with an upcycled rustic shed on a rural property 3km from Matakana - ply interior, concrete floors covered with jute rugs and kilims, and a covered outdoor space to relax and bbq. A rustic country theme which will not suit guests wanting new and modern. Our linen bedding, hand loomed cotton towels, handmade ceramics and Real World products add some luxury. We have Starlink to enjoy Netflix

Boulder Creek Cabin

A self contained cabin, child friendly, in a rural setting. Great location to explore local attractions Boulder creek cabin (30m2) is 20m from our family home on our working dairy farm. The cabin provides all the necessities for a night or 2 away where you can explore the surrounding area. An easy stop over or weekend destination with Te Arai and other local surf beaches, Tomarata lakes and Te Arai Links golf course nearby. Enjoy the amazing stars, farm walks and fresh farm milk!

Close enough to all the shops, bars and restaurants in Warkworth and Matakana, but with the Te Aroroa trial (500 metres) and countryside on your doorstep. Less than 10 mins to Warkworth, 15 mins to Matakana with its vineyards & markets, close to Omaha beach and the beautiful Tawharanui Peninsula. A great base to explore this incredible area and then relax after a busy day of hiking, beaching & enjoying the local hospitality.

Room @ No. Two

Boutique accomodation minutes from the village. Room @ No Two is a private guest room and en-suite. It has gorgeous sun and relaxing views overlooking lush green countryside. We provide tea, coffee and muesli. There is a small fridge to keep your market goodies chilled. You’ll have your own private access, car park, a lovely bathroom, TV and Wifi. You’ll also have your own seated outside area which catches the late afternoon sun, this is a lovely place to relax and unwind.

Views and convenience at Snells Beach.

Our space is great for travelers who enjoy wineries, breweries, cafes, beaches, walks, cinema (boutique), Saturday markets, Goat Island and a variety of places to visit and explore within easy distance. Nearby is the ferry for a day at Kawau Island. The downstairs studio is private but we are close by and pleased to help and chat if you choose. Warkworth has large grocery stores and shopping but we have a great new grocery shop and a local pub within walking distance.

Suitable for couples and individuals. Outside seating on deck, nice glass of wine...perfect! A pleasant 3 min stroll to cinemas, cafes, bar and markets and 45 min drive from Auckland CBD.

The Little Guest House, Matakana
