Vallakot Farm Miðbær

Vallakot Farm Guesthouse is a small guesthouse, located in Northeast Iceland in the middle of the Diamond circle. It is situated in a green and peaceful valley called Reykjadalur and the village Laugar is only a few kilometers away with a restaurant, grocery shop, a swimming pool and other amenities. Vallakot Farm is both a farm and a guesthouse and a place that has been in the family for decades. We have three studio apartments built in 2017 and a cabin that we finished renovate in June 2023.

There are endless possibilities to explore all that our amazing nature has to offer for example; whale watching, Blue Lagoon in Myvatnssveit, Godafoss and in the autumn and winter experience the crazy aurora borealis and you can even take a beer bath at Arskogssandur. In the winter Akureyri is a winter sport town with a fabulous ski mountain Hlidarfjall.

Peaceful, quiet and lovely cottage placed just by our little forrest, A good place for recovery and relaxing. Located on the land of farm Syðri-Hagi on the west side of Eyjafjörður, You can explore the majestic mountain ranges and welcoming valleys either by car or on foot. In the late summer you can go berry picking on the farms land. We are located about 15 km from Dalvík and 30 km from Akureyri.

Nice apartment with a view over the fjord and the village. Two bedrooms (one kingsize bed + baby cot and one single bed) and a comfy sofa bed in the livingroom. Veranda with coal bbq. Please do the washing up in the kitchen and throw out the trash. Other cleaning services, bed linen and towels are included in the cleaning fee.

The apartment is a part of the house complex at Sunnuhlíð, a farmland close to the town of Akureyri. The apartment is perfect for four adults, two couples or families traveling on their own. This beautiful apartment is located just 3 km outside Akureyri in a peaceful countryside area, You can see horses, sheep and chickens running around the farm During winter this is a great place to watch the northern lights when the northern light forecast is good because of little light pollution

We have just recently reconstructed the attic in our house into studio apartments. The space has a new bed and a sofa that can be changed into a cozy bed for 1 if you need. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking and the view is extraordinary!

My place is close to the city center. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. It is also possible to get an extra mattress or a baby travel bed.
