In the 18th century the tower was reconstructed as a ‘folly’, characteristic of the period. We are proud to say that our family has supported this heritage for more than 215 years. 'De Hoedenmaker', built in 1675, it has all the charm and elegance of Renaissance Europe. It is located in the historical heart of Bruges. The facade is in the traditional step-gable style that is typical of the Flemish houses. It is a three-level house with a total of 110 square meters living area, completely furnished including free high-speed WiFi, radio, DVD and cable TV. The cottage is privately rented but is connected to a B&B. On request, breakfast can be served in your private garden, in your cottage or on your bed. The last renovation of this 16th century Erker house over the water dates from the beginning of 2020, with again preservation of all the authentic, characteristic elements. From your King Size bed you have an exclusive view of the garden and the water (the Bruges Canals) makes your stay complete.
