The cabin is close to Hvalfjörður, Hvammsvík Hot springs, Glymur (Iceland's tallest waterfall), Thingvellir (30 min), Golden Circle and Snæfellsnes (170 km). Great opportunity to see the Northern lights if weather allows.

The cottage is family-owned and is located in beautiful and peaceful surroundings next to Medalfellsvatn Lake with spectacular views over the lake. The cottage is located near Reykjavi­k, about 30-40 minute drive from Reykjavik. It is ideally situated amongst Iceland's most popular attractions. Many of the attractions are within 1 one-hour drive from the cottage, e.g. the Þingvellir National Park, which is on the way to Gullfoss and Geysir. Hot tub available upon request for €15 per day.

Huset ligger på en stor privat grund og består af stort og veludstyret køkken med spiseplads, stue med brændeovn, 2 soveværelser og et tredje soveværelse i et seperat gæstehus, tæt på hoved huset. Der er en dejlig stor terrasse med gas gril og hot pot med udsigt til bjerge. Badekåber og tøfler til rådighed for gæsterne.

The views are spectacular, of the lake and its surrounding mountain scape; it is a place of pure tranquility. It has 3 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and sitting room. It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.

Stunning villa with amazing 360 views, great location close to the golden circle and the capital region (only 30 min drive). The villa has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and sleeps 10 people. Himri is very spacious (300 sqm) and has everything you could wish for - a fully equipped gym and game room, a sauna and a hot tub. We just bought the villa and just finished a complete renovation. Excellent location--only 45-minutes to Reykjavik and Thingvellir National Park. Close by to Glymur Waterfall and many great hiking opportunities. A GREAT PLACE FOR WATCHING THE NORTHERN LIGHTS. For summertime visits, we have bug sprays available for the no see ums (Lúsmý) as well as window nets.
