Our house, Catherine House has a large comfortable, relaxing rooftop terrace with a large dining table, two daybeds and a hammock. The house is situated two minutes from the historic center of Lamu town, the big market and three minutes from the seafront. Find your way for a stroll in the lively narrow streets, shopping or some of Lamus restaurants, for boat trips to nearby beaches, other islands and villages. Our Stunning 3 bedroom With AC home has all amenities needed for a short or long term getaway. We overlook the beautiful Shella dunes surrounded by palm trees that sway seemlessly with the birds morning songs. Your staff will handle all cleaning needs and caretaker meets you at seafront. A chef can join for a small fee &Boat transfers can be arranged.

Exclusive Beach House, Shela Lamu, Kenya

Located 100 m from the Indian ocean, the house consists of 4 en suite rooms amongst which 2 master bedrooms and 2 standard berooms. Please note that we limit the number of guests to a maximum of 6 in order to preserve the house, avoid stressing our staff and maximise your experience as a guest. Each room is self contained and has a queen size bed. Two of the master bedrooms have their own private outside verandah. The house is let with a Cook who does also all the shopping and a House boy.

With four spacious ensuite bedrooms and various sitting areas, the house can comfortably accommodate up to 8 adults and is ideal for families or groups of friends.

Full house ready for guests! The typical Lamu courtyard is the center of it all, a serene space from which all other rooms emerge. The three-story building (360m2) with roof access offers an amazing view of the Indian Ocean under the makuti which protects from the rain and sunshine. This results in a beautiful, spacious and very comfortable house with "Umma House" as the name. The Villa has a total of three rooms all equipped with ensuite bathrooms.

Pumbao House: A Stunning Villa With Swimming Pool!

Pumbao House is a stunning villa located 2 minutes away from the beach in the beautiful village of Shela, Lamu Island, Kenya. It features a private swimming pool with a fountain in a cool and shady yard and breathtaking sea views from the upper terrace. Pumbao House can welcome up to ten people with its 5 bedrooms. The stewards Mickael and Rehema & the cook Mwembe will welcome you, cook delicious dishes, keep the house clean and do your laundry.

An absolutely perfect place for simply doing nothing, one can nevertheless also lie on the beach, float out to sea or take long walks across the island. Lamu, centuries old, and the most ancient Swahili settlement on the East African coast, is just a 30 minute boat ride away.
