Nelson Coastal Barnstay - the Barn

Our cottage is just the right mix of rustic and comfort with wonderful mountain views across an expansive valley. It is designed to give that "home away from home" feeling. Enjoy this charming setting, watch the sunsets from the lounge or patio or enjoy a relax in the old bath under the stars. The Barn has two bedrooms and caters for up to 6-7 people The property is located close to safe sandy beaches at Rabbit Island (20 min drive and Kaiteriteri (30 min). Children are welcome and will enjoy the country experience of our farmyard animals, including our kune kune pig, Dudley and two characterful alpacas, Percy and Colin.

Gum Tree Studio - The perfect country retreat!

With amazing views and the Taste Tasman cycle trail at the end of the road this is the perfect retreat to get away from it all. We're lucky to be surrounded by farmland, countryside, mountains, sea, National Parks, fresh air and birdsong. Just a short 10 minute drive from the popular village of Mapua and 10 minutes from Motueka this artistic, modern, roomy and stylish studio is a perfect getaway. The Studio is located at the rear of our home property, down a private drive, with ample parking.

Wendels Acre is a rural property, our house and grounds is an acre of garden & 4 acres of land, running sheep. The studio has sea views and it's own private garden. The location is close to Mapua Village, Rabbit Island, Motueka, Great taste cycle trail (Nelson to Kaiteriteri), Kaiteriteri Mountain bike park, & Abel Tasman National Park. We have enhanced the plantings to encourage native birds which is a quiet, relaxing & tranquil area. We are a retired couple looking forward to hosting you.

The great taste cycleway is on your doorstep and the Able Tasman National park is close by as are the wineries and artisans. Come and enjoy all the beautiful region has to offer

The Woodshack - private hideaway in Mapua

Unique space, beautiful decor, hand-crafted with loving care. Located in the heart of Mapua, a restful, tranquil space to unwind or explore the area. Tea and coffee facilities, as well element and microwave for self-catering. Day bed can sleep an extra person if needed (inquire with owner). Laundry service also available for small fee. The space is not suitable for children / infants so please refrain from asking for exceptions, safety and comfort is of very high importance to the owner.

Harakeke Hill, near Motueka

Modern off-grid accommodation. Our power comes from panels powered by the sun. We have a back-up generator which runs if the batteries have had their power used. Wi-fi + the internet are easily accessible. We have solar heated hot water and we run all the usual household appliances. Two bedrooms: each with a king bed which can be split into two singles. *Please state which bed arrangement you will be needing* EV or PLUG IN HYBRIDS: it is not possible to charge these vehicles overnight.

Ruby Bay Beach Sleepout - 30 mins from Abel Tasman

This is our sleepout located next to our family home. It is artistic and peaceful. It is nestled within a 1 ha property with established fruit trees and many things for families to do and play. The sleepout has a separate wash space/kitchenette and bathroom, about 7 metres away from the sleepout. The beach is right opposite the house, and Mapua is a 2-minute drive. It's an ideal space to land in before and/or after a hike in the Abel Tasman, which is only 30 minutes away from us.

A relaxing space to retreat to after a day of exploring, Applegirth offers an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area; a separate bedroom with Single bed; a mezzanine level with Queen sized bed and a bathroom with shower over bath, and washer. A Sofa Bed in the lounge can also be utilised upon request. In the lounge is a music station , and selection of games. Outside on the verandah is a covered BBQ and seating area where you can relax and listen to the birdsong.
