With its amenable climate and varied terrain is sure to please all walking enthusiasts. Only 10km away at Cap d’agde, Marseillan, Vias and Sète are the beautiful long sandy beaches of the Mediterranean. Equally enjoyable and interesting walks can be enjoyed in the historic villages and Ports of the region, especially after night fall. Port du Cap d’agde, Port du Sete, Port de Bouzigues, Port de Marseillan The close proximity of the canal du midi and l’herault to the chateau provides a tranquil place to enjoy a walk. Festival and Entertainment Lovers Very close lies the historic 17th century market town of Pezenas, where Moliere played for the Prince De Conti. It offers a multitude of events, expositions, concerns and plays. It is also well known for its antique shops and markets. Only 25 minutes away is Montpellier nicknamed ‘la surdouee’ the gifted. It is a vibrant town with numerous walks, old town and an abundance of festivals. Sete and it’s famous theater also offers events all year long. Food and Drink Lovers The region offers many interesting regional products for your tasting pleasure. Discover the ‘figues becos’ a type of fig from Nezignan Leveque, Le Petit pate de Pezenas. Fish and seafood and of course wine as the region is the single biggest wine producing region in the world. We have selected a range of regional produce from the surrounding villages, (no more than 7km from the chateau) which you can purchase in the chateau’s little shop. My beautiful house is spacious and has a dining area for 12 people both inside and outside. Large bedrooms with space for extra mattresses / cots. Good hotel beds. Two full bathrooms, one shower and two WC rooms. Air conditioning in all bedrooms except in the annex. Wifi / TV package is installed. Large laundry room, outdoor kitchen, storage room. Major upgrade around the pool, outdoor shower. The pool is open from May until November. Rented out on weekly basis. preferably check in Saturday

La Chataigne - family friendly gite with pool

Les Coumayres consists of four unique, newly renovated gites. La Chataigne is at the front of the house with one more gite and the owners home. Behind the house are two larger gites. We also have a Glamping site with two unique domes, located a couple of minutes walk. Relax by the heated pool whilst your children play in the pool, play ping pong or have fun in the playground. There is plenty of space for everyone and each gite has their own private terrace with outdoor sofa and dining for four.

Canal View, on the Canal Du Midi near Carcassonne

Prime location in a lovely village alongside the Canal du Midi & only 20min from Carcassonne, Canal view has a view over the lock at Marseillette. This 2 bed gite is fully equipped, sleeping 4 + Cot and room for your 4 legged friends too if you wish to bring them! The gîte has it's own private patio overlooking the canal for outside dining with a stone BBQ and sunbeds. A large heated pool amongst the olive trees and lavander with far reaching views of the mountains. 45 mins to the Med coast.
