Kawakawa Hut

Close by lies the vegetable garden, and friendly cows graze just over the fence. Further out over surrounding farmland you can see Tongariros snow capped mountains in the distance, so sit back and enjoy. At night, why not barbecue with drinks on the deck or in the winter, enjoy the ambience of the warm fire!

Soothing Riverside Cabin, Taumarunui

No cleaning fee, minimum 2 night stay. Cabin is a bedroom only, toilet, shower and kitchen located separately a few metres away. You are on the tip of a peninsula in the Whanganui River. Lie in bed and watch the fish rise in the morning, sit around the fire in the evening enjoying the peace and quiet after a swim. Mountains are 40 mins away, kayaking tours 10 mins away and Taumarunui is 12km. Please don't bring water, free, safe water is provided. Limiting plastic is much appreciated.

Turangi is 10 minutes drive south, with great cafes and restaurants, 40 minutes to Mt Ruapehu for fabulous skiing and the Sky Waka. Turangi is the hub for the adventure tourism activities.
