Access to the Monsal Trail is just a 10 minutes walk away, and the villages of Litton and Tideswell are also easily accessible by foot.

Wonderful scenery and walks from the door, with popular towns of Buxton, Leek and Ashbourne all a few miles away by car.

Blackthorn Hideaway is our luxury, bespoke Shepherd's Hut. It has open field views and is surrounded by beautiful countryside walks, pubs, restaurants, famous attractions, and is only 20 minutes from the Peak District National Park. The Hideaway is the perfect location for a romantic break with your small dog (additional charge). Outside is a private, decked area with chairs, table, luxury outdoor slipper bath and fire pit - a perfect place to relax, unwind, and cosy up under the stars.

The perfect base to unwind in the great outdoors, surrounded by the spectacular countryside of the White Peak, with breathtaking hill walks straight out of the door. The most popular route being ‘The Dragons Back’. Buxton, the local historic spa town, is just a 15 minute drive or 60 minute walk. There are a handful of local villages - Earl Sterndale, Hollinsclough, Longnor and Hartington that are all relatively close. The perfect place for hikers, bikers, or simply for a relaxing getaway.

A quirky self-catering shepherd's hut in the Peak District close to the village of Hathersage with stunning views towards Stanage Edge. This shepherd's hut, situated on a working farm, sleeps two people in a king size bed with separate shower room. Kitchen facilities with toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge, 2-ring hob. It once belonged to the Swythamley Hall estate, where they grew fruit and vegetables for the people of the beautiful, impressive hall. Sit back and relax in your very own garden which is approximately 1 arce! You are surrounded by a private wall, woodland and nature. Sit with a glass of wine or a cooled beer and take in the breath taking views of the rolling fields, trees, animals and the roaches.

A perfect tucked away escape located in the stunning Peak District. A traditional Shepherd's Hut set on the edge of a large open field with rolling views of the countryside. A very secluded spot, pure escapism! Quirky & unique perfect to unwind away from the bustle of daily life. The hut sleeps two in a double bed. All bedding and towels are provided. In order to not make the Shepherd's Hut too cramped we have a separate utilities hut just a few feet away.
