Our cottage is nestled in the picturesque village of Portinscale and is a short 5 minute walk into Keswick. Portinscale is perfectly situated for any outdoor activity. Derwentwater Marina is a short 2 minute walk away, the local fells are easily accessible from the front door and the cycling (both trail and road) are world class. There is a superb cafe situated 100 yards from the cottage and a local village pub. The cosy cottage is the perfect base for a fantastic holiday.

The Vale of Lorton is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt areas of the Lakes, ranging from the flat farmland and Gem town of Cockermouth at one end to the rugged mountains and Buttermere at the other. Set in two acres of mature trees, gardens and river frontage, with lots of wildlife.
