As a local family business, our guesthouse offers a warm and friendly atmosphere. We, the hosts, live on-site in the same house. 4 bedrooms, for 2 persons each rooms, 2 shared bathrooms, big living room area with books and board games. It has a large yard. Please note there is no full kitchen, but the living room area includes a fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, and toaster for your convenience. (Please note : When you book for 2 guests, you will receive one bedroom)

There are no supermarkets in the country side, only in Vík Hvolsvöllur which are both approxametaly 30 minutes away. ## Please note that the house is located on Skógar not in the small town Hvolsvöllur ##

We are 5 living on the property Anna (the housewife), Siggi (the husband), Einar (the son), Elin (his fiance), Heiða Kristin (their daughter) Ingveldur (the daughter) and don´t forget Felix the friendly dog and Kisi the mysterious cat.

Cosy river cottage

The cottage is just outside of Hella on the south of Iceland standing by the giving fishing river Ytri Rangá. It is easy to buy fishing licence nearby. It is a quiet place with a nice terrace where you can enjoy the marvelous nature.

Excellent location and a peaceful quiet stay in our studio house, with the volcano Hekla right outside the front side window. If there are northern lights, you will see them from our location. No light pollution no distractions.
