On the ground floor you'll find a cosy living room with a wood burner & a spacious well-equipped kitchen/diner. Upstairs to two characterful bedrooms, a large, bright king-size (with Emma mattress) a charming twin, along with the family shower room. Outside there is a seating area with BBQ and a shed for bikes.

The nearest Wainwright (Binsey) is walkable from the front door. The house is 4/5 bedrooms, has a large family dining table, 3 lounges, each with stoves (one convertible to a bedroom).

Welcome to Highside a delightful cottage set in a secluded location overlooking the tranquil village of Lorton. Dating back to 1695 (as engraved on the fireplace in the kitchen), the cottage retains many original features but has been sympathetically modernised. The cottage resides within our farm, Terrace Farm with open countryside and panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells and numerous Wainwrights including Melbreak, Whiteside, Low Fell, Hopegillhead to name but a few.
