Step into my Paris studio for a one-of-a-kind ceramics workshop, where you’ll create beautiful, handcrafted earthenware using nériage, a marbling technique from Provence. You’ll work hands-on with colorful clay, crafting either a plate or smaller bowl as a unique souvenir of your time in Paris.
• We’ll begin with an introduction to my studio and the history behind this mixed-clay technique, where layers of different colored clays are cut, shaped, and molded into stunning designs.
• You’ll then choose your colors and learn how to layer and shape the clay with my step-by-step guidance. I’ll offer advice or assistance as you need it.
• Once your piece is finished, you dry it yourself and take it home in a pretty box. (only for self-hardening clay)
Once your small ceramic pieces are glazed and placed in the kiln, the process, from firing to cooling, can take 3 weeks. The entire cycle, including preparation and final unloading, usually takes one month.
