You might spot seals, otters and dolphins pass the rocks a few metres away. It’s a great base for kayaking, paddleboarding and swimming. The forest has walks and bike trails. The nearby “Big Bay” is a km stretch of golden sand. Carradale has a village shop, a cafe and a small hotel serving drinks and some evening meals.

No 1 Shedock Cottage has been completely renovated inside and out, originally a shepherds cottage it is now a very modern living space. The entrance leads into the living room with a kitchen extension to the rear this follows onto a private sitting area outside at the back of the cottage. The bedroom has a double bed with fitted wardrobe. There is a bath and shower in the bathroom next to the bedroom. Heating throughout the cottage is electric with flame effect fire in the living room.
