A calm lake chalet in wood, between two regional parks, minutes walk from nature trails and off the beaten path. East windows let the happy morning light on natural materials and heated floors. In the evening, a cozy cinema with ambient sound by a fireplace, a second media room with a turntable ideal for music. Outdoors, a hot tub, a wood-burning sauna, a fireplace by the lake and a slide. Cross-country ski, snowshoe trails are minutes’ walk, and snowmobile routes start right at the driveway.

Ici, l'été se vit vraiment au bord du lac! On commence la journée avec un café sur le quai ou dans le gazébo avec le chant des oiseaux. On passe l'après-midi à se baigner, à relaxer sur l'île flottante où partir en pédalo, canot ou paddle board. Ensuite, c'est l'heure du spa avec vue pour relaxer, puis on termine la soirée autour d'un des 2 pits à feu pour déguster un bon s'mores. The Stilt House

Once the island Trading Post (in the 1820's) now serves as a private retreat on Westport Island. The whole property has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1982. The building is nestled at the water's edge, half on land and half on stilts over the tidal waters of the Sheepscot River. The property has its own private deck, island, rocky beach, trails and hammock. This is an old structure - over 200 years old! A great piece of history and an absolute oasis.
