In a strategic position close to Florence and Mugello is a good base for exploring Tuscany and be independent at the same time with supermarkets and restaurants just a few minutes away. Close to a farmhouse you can buy fresh local organic ingredients such as bio vegetables, eggs or cheese.

In the hillside hamlet of San Pietro a Marcigliano, a few minutes away from Lucca, nestles The Monastery, a charming holiday house with pool surrounded by olive groves and wine yards. The construction of the main building of the estate goes back to the 1550s. In more recent times it was converted to an elegant family home, maintaining the architectural integrity of the original building. In the proximities you will also see other ancient buildings that once were barns and houses for the workers.

After 13 wonderful years of hosting on Airbnb, the time has come to close this incredible chapter and embrace the next. These upcoming 7 months will be the final season for MuseumSuite, in Jan 2027, the property will be sold and transformed into a private family residence. It has been an absolute honor and a privilege to welcome guests from all walks of life. Guests must have transport to stay in Casoli, there is no public transport. The accomodation is a unique tower in this peacful, beautiful Tuscan village. If you want to explore the region this is a perfect retreat for a weekend or longer. The location is perfect for spring / summer walks or trips to the sea and more.

A Big Dream in a Little Tower.

The Tower was created in the late 1800s by an illustrious Englishman, Sir John Temple Leader, in one of the oldest and most important stone quarries belonging to the Medici family. From the same quarry were extracted many important works such as the columns of the Medici chapels, the steps of the Laurenziana library .. all just 5 km from the historic center of Florence.
