Whare manu is a private, self contained boutique cottage that is solar powered. Set back into native bush with views of the sea and beach, which is only a minutes stroll away. Watch the Tui's and Bellbirds feed on the sculpted bird feeder right on the deck. Designed for couples to relax, unwind and enjoy. No children please. Nearest town is Winton 10 mins away , with supermarket, choice of places to eat or takeaway. This peaceful, hill top, studio room is just a 10 minute amble to the town’s parks, gardens, cafes, shops and restaurants. Wifi, TV, microwave and small refrigerator, kettle and toaster with basic kitchen cutlery and crockery, teas and coffees supplied. Brand new bathroom. Private entry and driveway with undercover parking. The decor is eclectic and there are two outdoor seating options. The garden is shared. Guest access by key lock. Check in from 3pm and check out by noon.

The Lodge at Tikana in central Southland is nestled among fertile southern hills which are home to a herd of majestic stud Wapiti deer. The tranquility of the rural setting is enhanced by the unique ambience of the straw bale construction. In its former life the Lodge catered to the needs of high end tourists traveling in Southland The Lodge was purpose built in 2003 by a craftsman builder with the juxtaposition of old and new blending seamlessly.
