The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

River Belle is set on a working farm only 10 minutes away from the city of New Plymouth. A secluded Glamping site set on 160 acres next to Mangaoraka river. A geodesic dome luxuriously fitted out, is accompanied by a amenities hut, providing a charming kitchen and separate bathroom. The hut has an outdoor bath with view of Mt Taranaki. The apartment opens out onto a patio via a double sliding ranch slider to maximise the indoor outdoor flow. There is also a heat pump for your comfort. The famous walkway is at the end of the street where you will get some great shots of the mountain through the Te Rewa Rewa bridge.

Quiet, cute relaxing getaway at the beautiful Urenui. Situated in the village with a two-minute walk to the river and 15 minute walk to the main beach. The property backs onto a native nature reserve, songs from the native birds are heard all year round. Situated next to the main house where my husband and I live with our 2 children.
