Tranquil creative space near Southwold

Ditch Studio is a self contained, contemporary extension to an 18th century workers cottage on the Henham estate ( home to Latitude festival ). A tranquil haven surrounded by a wild garden, fields and ancient woodlands.The Studio was crafted by its artisan hosts using sustainable and reclaimed materials where possible. The ground floor has a polished concrete floor with underfloor heating, a galley kitchen and wet room with a Moroccan plastered shower. Upstairs is the attic bed/sitting room.

Dutch House Barn (with sauna)

Dutch House Barn (DHB) was lovingly restored during 2023/4 in the Suffolk tradition, using reclaimed materials. As from July 2025 the property includes an original and now renovated 1970's Finnish sauna. DHB is an annex to Dutch House, where I live with Sue, my wife of 51 years and Poppy our dog, who is now 11. Please note Port Side is accessed via a metal staircase to the first floor, whilst we love our high over the town it may not be suitable to all guests!

Pegasus Cottage is our cosy holiday home nestled in a peaceful lane in Walberswick. Built after the war as a Swedish wooden house, there are beautiful walks in every direction, to the sea, the river, the marshes, the woods and of course into the iconic village itself. The cottage is our own homely but treasured holiday retreat so is comfortable, personal and a little frayed around the edges. We love sharing it with like-minded people.
