An ideal ‘base camp’ as you explore the National Park and surrounding area. Light a fire and get lazy, chill out in the hottub, star-gaze at the incredible night skies, or just take in the majestic Pen y Fan as you plan (or recover from) your ascent.

Yr Hen Stabl is a dog friendly, converted farm stable full of character and charm. It is simply furnished with antique Welsh furniture and textiles. The cosy interior with wood burning stove offers a comfortable space in which to relax after long walks in the Brecon Beacons or from which to work remotely. Based near to the waterfalls, the cottage provides easy access to outdoor activities such as wild swimming, gorge walking and hiking. It is also conveniently situated for the Gower coast.

Heol Gwys Cottage is set in the idyllic village of Upper Cwmtwrch. This tranquil property is in the ideal location for everything the area has to offer. The cottage consists of two double bedrooms upstairs along with a bathroom with a luxury bath and skylight. The ground floor boasts a large open plan dining and lounge area and a period style log burning fire (Logs not supplied). The fully equipped modern kitchen leads out to a well-kept enjoyable garden that backs onto the river Twrch.

We welcome couples, families, groups of 4, and of course pets. 🐶 We’ve added a little bit of luxury to our ‘cottage in the hills’ setting with the addition of our beautiful hot tub. Our location is surrounded by fantastic walks, rivers, waterfalls, and a pub 100yds from the front door. Open plan living area downstairs, fitted kitchen with oven, microwave, slow cooker and cooking utensils. Shower room and toilet, hot &cold running water. Double bedroom with double bed, second bedroom with adult bunk beds. Balcony accessed through main bedroom giving views of the Amman Valley.
