This special place on the gorgeous river Aume and centre of Aigre- butcher, Carrefour supermarket, epicurie, boulangerie, Thursday market, restaurants and bar- a hive of activity in rural France. Upstairs Bedroom 1 and 2 are large double bedrooms. Bedroom 4 ( with a single and a small double bed) is only accessible through Bedroom 2. These rooms share a bathroom off the upstairs hallway. Bedroom 3 downstairs has ensuite toilet and shower with a desk and a fold out single bed if needed.

It has two bedrooms, a large living room with a woodburner, a fitted kitchen with a large dining table and two shower rooms, one on each floor. The rear bedroom has a balcony that overlooks the garden with a ruined abbey and the Charentaise countryside beyond. Outside there's a summer kitchen, a small terrace and a lawned garden. The village has a delightful cake shop, a popular restaurant, artisanal stores and a museum.
