Frank Lloyd Wright's The Meyer House

Seize this opportunity to stay in a Frank Lloyd Wright treasure! Mahogany accents have been meticulously restored, and the gardens are in full bloom throughout the season. Awarded the Seth Peterson Cottage Conservancy's 2019 Visser Award for Outstanding Restoration of a FLW House and the 2021 Wright Spirit Award in the private category. The Amberg House - a Frank Lloyd Wright Original

Staying in a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is a bucket list item for fans of America's most acclaimed architect. The Amberg House was completed in 1911 at the pinnacle of Wright's Prairie Style influence. Though every Wright home is special, the Amberg House is a unique collaboration between Wright and Marion Mahony. Mahony worked with Wright from 1896 until 1909. A graduate of MIT, she was the first woman to be licensed as an architect in the US.

Hidden in the woods

Quiet, country setting that comfortably accommodates two. This space is above our garage, which is not attached to our house. We are often outside working or playing, but it is very private once you are upstairs! There is no WiFi here. There is a lovely, private balcony with a nice view, lots of random movies, and several fun games. Verizon service works great here, so if you have a Hotspot you could hook up to our smart TV.

Outpost Treehouse

The lookout inspired Outpost Treehouse (not actually attached to a tree) sits in a white pine forest in the middle of a 50 acre active farm. The 15 hand crafted windows allow for great views watching out for Michigan wildlife--White tail deer, turkeys, owls, coyote have all been spotted from the elevated wrap around deck. The biggest regret that guests have noted is “we wish we would have stayed longer”!
