The Good Shepherd Hut with wood-fired hot tub

The Good Shepherd Hut is nestled in a private paddock, in the South Downs National Park, in rural Hampshire. The oakcrafted design ensures a luxurious stay with a comfy double bed, free WiFi, log burner, sofa, kitchenette and ensuite. Outside is a fire pit BBQ, picnic table and wood-fired hot tub. A breakfast hamper, toiletries, robes and slippers are provided. Unwind as you soak in the hot tub, admiring the sunsets, views and clear starry skies. We can supply all wood for £50 for 2 nights.

Features inside include a double bed, trap-door bath, toilet, and large ‘wagon wheel’ window with stunning views. Outdoors is the Wild Cherry Barn with chiminea fireplace and a saloon seating area with pizza oven and campfire with BBQ grill. The Wagon in the Woods is a bespoke, self-contained little place in the country with a private woodland, ideal for those wanting a tranquil and restful getaway.

It offers a tranquil retreat in a home away from home setting with a cosy open plan living space championed by the log burning stove. Enjoy cooking your own English Breakfast - of which eggs are graciously supplied by our chickens -amongst views and visits of our 17 strong Alpaca herd. Rustic and rural space bordering working farmland with plenty of resident wildlife located within the South Downs National Park.

There is also an option to use a small open fronted barn to park a small car, for any motor enthusiasts that are visiting the nearby Goodwood racetrack. The Witterings, Selsey beaches, Chichester centre and Chichester Harbour are all around 10 minutes drive away. Portsmouth is a 30 minute drive away and Pagham harbour and the RSPB reserve is a short walk from the hut.
